My absolute favorite Mignola illustration is the cover to The Black Stranger and Other American Tales, a collection of American Gothics short stories by Robert E. Howard.
If anyone knows where a guy could get a poster/print of this illustration I’d be greatly appreciative.
I believe my first exposure to Mike Mingola’s work was a “How To Draw Creepy Cemeteries” article in Wizard magazine back in the early/mid 90’s. For some reason I never got into Hellboy—I stopped buying comics shortly after I learning about the book—but I’ve always admired Mignola’s graphic/noir style.
